Joseph Wagner

Joseph R. (Joe) Wagner is a Senior Project Manager in NYSERDA's Transportation Research Program, where he oversees projects with companies and universities to develop energy efficient products in the transportation sector. This includes an extensive array of alternative-fuel and hybrid vehicle projects. Joe started his career as an engineer with the vehicle components division of Rockwell International, before joining the staff of Brookhaven National Laboratory, where he performed feasibility studies focused on electric and hybrid vehicles. He then moved to Mechanical Technology Inc., where he led a wide variety of projects to develop energy-saving and alternative-fuel technology for vehicles and industrial facilities, plus serving a stint as Product Manager for a line of aircraft engine maintenance equipment. Joe has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, an MBA from Wayne State University and a Master's degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
